By Faith Part 5

Unbelief does not cancel the faith of God (Romans 3:3–4). True faith is not wishful thinking or empty words — it is sincere, grounded in God’s Word, and proven through obedience. Paul reminds Timothy not to get lost in arguments but to build faith through godly edification (1 Tim. 1:4–5). Faith grows progressively, from faith to faith (Rom. 1:16–17), as we act on what we already know. Jesus said the wise builder hears and does His Word, while the foolish one only hears (Matt. 7:24–27). Real faith is demonstrated in action, as seen in Hebrews 11. Without works, faith is dead (James 2:14–17). Like the rich young ruler, we cannot cling to the world and to Christ at the same time. Faith means letting go of what seems secure and holding on to God alone. Ultimately, faith is not just built for action — it is built on action.
